10-10-08 National Book Festival and 1st time Spaghetti Eaters

So I remembered the camera today. So this week's pics are from last week when we did the National Book Festival on the Mall. The others are from Haley and Josie tried Baby Food #3 spaghetti.

This weekend is soccer for Kiely and a birthday party for the girl next door for Kiely. Not sure what else we have planned as we are playing it by ear. I had a bad migraine yesterday (soccer practice did not help) and I am still not at 100%.

Corey is still in the planning stages of the kitchen re-design.

Haley and Josie are starting to stand on their own. They still think it is a game so they like to stand and then immediately fall down.

9-19-08 HJK Pics

Kiely, Grandmommies and I ended up going to LaunchFest at Goddard Space Center. It was a lot of fun except for the long wait for the buses and the heat. Kiely tried on astronaut costumes, a real astronaut glove, did some experiments and saw lots of cools things.

Mr. Lou surprised everyone with a bushel of crabs so we invited everyone over. I had bought a slip and slide and a bobble head sprinkler thing. The slip and slide was a hit. No one could get the sprinkler thing to work. It may end up in the trash.

Kiely is going to be in a reading group soon at school. That is exciting. She also has signed up for Science Club. I went with her to a Daisy meet and greet. A Daisy is now like a Brownie but for K and 1st Grade. We have also signed Kiely up for FLES. I am taking Kiely to my soccer coach clinic on Sat morning too. She has a lot of stuff going on.

Corey is busy with the twins. He got some free Maryland Football tickets from Brenda Freese for this Sat so we might try for that 1pm game. We will see.

Haley likes to do big raspberries when eating now so that makes it interesting for feeding her. Josie just eats everything. Corey and I have been trying to sneak in "real" food now. Sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't. They are still pretty quick so we will be also buying a playard soon as well.

Have a SUPER weekend and enjoy the fall weather. Lots of festivals!

9-12-08 Getting into the swing of Fall

Hope everything is going well with everyone!

We are slowly getting into our fall routine with school. Kiely is getting her homework done when she gets home from school, then dinner and then she plays with her friends outside. Soccer will be starting soon as well. I might be asking her if she would like to do another sport soon...maybe ice skating or gymnastics or swimming. We will be doing swimming for sure by Jan/Feb timeframe.

Haley and Josie had a good doctors appt on Tuesday. They are growing well. Haley even made the chart this time! I apologize that I don't have the weights/heights in this email but I do have them in their charts at home if you want to call Corey or I later on. Corey likes to have them race down the hallway at home. He promised to video tape it. He can do this as long as all the doors to the rooms are shut. So far Haley is the fastest. Josie's new game is trying to "kiss" her sister. She needs to work on the gentle part of the "kiss". Haley tells her this every time that she doesn't like it. They try to stand now on their own; they cruise around and try to climb up whatever they can including each other. Kiely likes to play with them and help keep them safe.

Corey is getting ready for the Iowa/Iowa State game. I may have talked him into going to the Goddard Space Center on Sat morning for a quick adventure at LaunchFest http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/events/launchfest.html

Maybe fishing on Sunday afternoon - we will see how the weather is for both.

9-5-08 Friday HJK pics

Kiely is adjusting to school still. They are doing testing this second week of school. I volunteered to be her soccer coach so we will see. She loved the last day of the pool even though she lost her brand new flip flops.

Haley and Josie are really fast crawlers right now. Josie thinks it is ok to climb up Haley to get to items. She also tries to literally climb up the dressers. Haley likes to pick up and investigate everything that is on the floor and then put it in her mouth.

Corey is psyched that the football season has started. He is finishing painting the doors to the downstairs (several). He wants to tackle the kitchen.

Me, I am getting ready for the consignment sale for CAMOM - selling baby clothes. This will be a first. Next, studying for new Microsoft Windows Server 2008 exams. Yikes!

Not many new pics this week. Just the Kiely shot, the rest are from the beach trip. We will get busy snapping some new ones!
